Seferihisar halkının sakin şehir kavramına ilişkin metaforik algıları

Abstract

Sakin şehir anlayışı, küreselleşmenin kentler üzerinde yarattığı aynılaşmayı ortadan kaldırmak amacıyla atılmış bir adım olarak kabul edilmektedir. Sakin şehir anlayışının, kentlerde tarihi kimliği koruma, sürdürülebilirliği sağlama, yerel değerlere, el sanatlarına, gelenek ve göreneklere sahip çıkma, yerel yemeklere ve yöresel mimariye öncelik verme gibi kapsamlı bir felsefesi bulunmaktadır. Gerekli kriterleri yerine getirerek sakin şehir ağına dahil olan kentler bu felsefeleri benimsemekte ve devam ettirmektedir. Felsefenin benimsenmesi ve devam ettirilmesi noktasında yerel halkın sakin şehir kavramına ilişkin farkındalığının ve kavramın yerel halk zihninde ne canlandırdığının belirlenmesinin önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Buradan hareketle çalışmada, Türkiye’de 2009 yılında sakin şehir ağına katılan ilk şehir olan İzmir Seferihisar’da yaşayan yerli halkın “sakin şehir” kavramına ilişkin algılarını belirlemek amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda veri elde etmek için “Sakin şehir ………. gibidir. Çünkü ……….” ifadesinin yer aldığı soru formları yerli halka dağıtılmıştır. Yerli halktan formda yer alan ifadeyi yalnızca bir metafor ile doldurmaları ve böylece sakin şehir ile ilgili düşüncelerini aktarmaları istenmiştir. Araştırma olgu bilim deseninde gerçekleştirilmiş, elde edilen veriler içerik analizine uygun olarak çözümlemeye tabi tutulmuş, veri analizinde SPSS 21.0 istatistiksel paket programından yararlanılmıştır. İçerik analizine uygun çözümlemeler sonucunda geçerli metaforlar tespit edilmiş ve metaforlar farklı kavramsal kategoriler altında toplanmıştır. İstatistiksel paket program yardımıyla elde edilen betimsel istatistikler (frekans, yüzde vb.) ise araştırmanın amacına uygun olarak sunulmuştur.

The concept of cittaslow is accepted as a step taken on the purpose of annihilating the dedifferentiation that globalization is created over the cities. The concept of cittaslow has a comprehensive philosophy such as preserving the historical identity in cities, protecting sustainability, coping with local values, crafts, traditions and customs, giving priority to local food and local architecture. The cities that are included in network of cittaslow by carrying out the required criteria adopt and maintain these philosophies. At the point of adopting and maintaining the philosophy, it is considered to be important being determined the awareness of the concept of cittaslow of local resident and what the concept picture in the local resident. From this point of view, it is aimed to determine the perceptions on the concept of cittaslow of people living in Seferihisar, İzmir which is the first city in Turkey participating the network of cittaslow in 2009. In the direction of the aim of the research, the questionnaire which the statement is placed “The cittaslow is like…………… Because……………….” are distribute to local resident to obtain the data. They were asked to fill in the statement with only a metaphor and convey their thoughts about the concept of cittaslow. In the research, phenomenological method is used, obtained data is analysed in accordance with the content analysis and in the data analysis SPSS 21.0 statistical package program is used. In the result of appropriate analysis, valid metaphors are determined and subsume under certain categories. Descriptive statistics, obtained with the help of statistical package program (frequency, percentage etc.) are presented as appropriate for the purpose of the research.
