Turizm işletmeciliği eğitimi alan öğrencilerin turizm sektöründeki istihdamla ilgili görüşleri ve sektördeki kariyer beklentileri (Balıkesir Üniversitesi Turizm İşletmeciliği ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulu örneği)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi almakta olan öğrencilerin (Balıkesir Üniversitesi Turizm İşletmeciliği ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulu’nda halen öğrenim görmekte olan) turizm sektöründeki istihdam ile ilgili görüşlerini ve turizm sektörüne yönelik kariyer beklentilerini tespit etmektir. Balıkesir Üniversitesi Turizm İşletmeciliği ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulu’nda halen öğrenim gören 328 öğrenciye anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Anket ile elde edilen veriler SPSS programında araştırma amacına uygun istatistik veri analiz teknikleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiş ve bu analizler sonucunda 6 faktör oluşmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin turizm sektöründeki istihdamın özellikleri ile ilgili görüşleri ve sektörde kariyer beklentilerine yönelik belirlenen faktörler ile kontrol değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkiler analiz edilmiş ve gerek turizm eğitimi, gerekse sektör için üzerinde düşünülmesi gereken önemli sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır

The aim of this study is to determine the views of students who receive tourism education at the level of bachelor degree (who are currently receiving education at Balıkesir University, College of Tourism and Hotel Management) upon employment in tourism sector and their expectations towards tourism sector. A survey study was carried out with 328 students who stil receive education at Balıkesir University, College of Tourism and Hotel Management. Data obtained with the survey form were analyzed by using statistical data analysis techniques suitable for SPSS program and 6 factors were created as a result of these analyses. Relations between the views of students who participated in the study upon the properties of employment in tourism sector and the factors determined according to their carrer prospects in the sector and control variables were analyzed and important results to be considered were obtained both for tourism education and for the sector.
