Sınıf öğretmenlerinin eğitimde BİT kullanımına ilişkin özgüven düzeyleri

Abstract

Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin (BİT) gelişmesi ve yaygınlaşması eğitim problemlerini çözümünde de bir araç olarak görülmesinde etkili olmuştur. Bu nedenle okullarda öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinde kullanımı için programlara dersler konulmasının yanı sıra okullara alt yapı için yazılım ve donanım sağlanma yoluna gidilmektedir. Ancak bu teknolojileri kullanacak olan öğretmenler olduğundan onların bu teknolojileri eğitsel amaçlı kullanımına ilişkin öz güven düzeylerinin belirlenmesi önemlidir. Araştırmada sınıf öğretmenlerinin BİT’i eğitsel amaçlı kullanımına ilişkin öz güven düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma betimsel tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Bu çerçevede veri toplamak için 5’li Likert ölçek kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin BİT kullanımına yönelik öz güven düzeylerinin çok düşük olduğu, cinsiyet açından farklılık belirlenemediği bununla beraber bilgisayar alanında eğitim alanlar ve kişisel bilgisayara sahip olma durumunun özgüven düzeyi ile ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Haftalık bilgisayar kullanma oranının özgüven düzeyi üzerinde etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur.

The development and common use of information and communication technologies (ICT) have been affective for it to be used as a tool in the solution of the educational problems. This has led the schools not only to use the ICT but also supply hardware and software for the infrastructural development of the schools. Also it is important to determine self-confidence levels of the teachers related to the educational use of the ICT. In that context this study aims to find out the self confidence levels of the teachers related to the educational use of the ICT. This study is descriptive. A 5 Point Likert scale has been used. At the end of the study it has been discovered that the self-confidence levels of the teachers related to ICT was very low no matter what their gender is. But having a computer and taking computer courses have shown a significant relation as well as the number of hours’ use of the computer with the level of selfconfidence of ICT.
