Yapılandırmacı kurama dayalı 5e öğretim modelinde ölçme ve değerlendirme

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı; 5E öğretim modeli çerçevesinde, öğrencilerin kavramsal değişim sürecindeki gelişimini takip edebilmek amacıyla ölçme araçları (kavram testleri, öğrenci kılavuzları, anlam çözümleme tabloları, görüşme formları) geliştirmektir. Ölçme araçları “aynalarda görüntü oluşumu ve görüntü özellikleri” konusunun öğretimi sürecinde kullanılmıştır. Kavramsal değişime yönelik olarak tasarlanan değerlendirme faaliyetleri öğretim modelinin “deneysel işlem” ve “uygulama sonrası” aşamalarını kapsamaktadır. Değerlendirme süreci için tasarlanan ölçme araçları; öğrencilerin önceki düşüncelerinden farklı ne tür yeni (bilimsel) düşünceler oluşturduklarını belirlememize yardımcı olmuştur. Kullanılan ölçme araçları; öğretmene öğrencilerin kavramsal değişim düzeylerini belirleme fırsatı, öğrencilere ise yeni kavramları geliştirmelerine yardımcı olacak deneyimler sunmuştur.

The purpose of the study was to develop measuring instruments (concept tests, student guidebooks, meaning analysis tables, interview forms) to be used in monitoring the progress of students' processes of conceptual change within the framework of the 5E instructional model. The measuring instruments were used in teaching the topic of "the formation and characteristics of images in mirrors." The evaluation process designed to trace conceptual change encompassed the stages of "experimental process" and "post-application process" of the instructional model. The measuring instruments designed for the evaluation process helped us to discover what kind of new (scientific) ideas students formed in their minds that were different from their prior thoughts. The measuring instruments provided the teacher with the means to identify the level of conceptual change students achieved and provided the students with experiences that helped them develop the new concepts.
