Eğitim fakültesi öğretmen adaylarının akademik motivasyonları ve algıladıkları okul iklimi ilişkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının algılarına dayalı olarak akademik motivasyon ve okul iklimi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada iki değişken arası ilişkinin belirlenmesi amaçlandığından araştırma ilişkisel tarama modelinde tasarlanmış ve uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Üniversite Öğrencilerine Yönelik Okul İklimi Ölçeği ile “Akademik Motivasyon Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre Necatibey Eğitim Fakültesinin ikinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik motivasyon puanlarının ortanın üzerinde, okul iklimi algılarının ise yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Okul iklimi ve akademik motivasyon arasında motivasyonsuzluk hariç orta düzeyde ve pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Araştırmada okula bağlılık ve iletişim boyutları, akademik motivasyonun yordayıcısı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada Fen ve sosyal alanlarda öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının görüşleri arasında okul iklimi alt boyutlarının tamamında ve ayrıca motivasyonsuzluk boyutunda anlamlı fark bulunması özellikle motivasyonsuzluk açısından değerlendirildiğinde öğretmen atamalarındaki KPSS puan yüksekliğine bağlanabilir. Sınıf düzeylerine göre öğretmen adaylarının algıları arasında sadece okula bağlılık konusunda dördüncü sınıflar lehine anlamlı bir fark vardır. Araştırmada okul ikliminin okula bağlılık ve iletişim boyutlarında istenen sonuçlar ortaya çıkmışken öğrenme ortamı için çıkmamıştır.

This research’s purpose is to determine the relationship between academic motivation and school climate based on the perceptions of prospective teacher candidates. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between two variables so the research was designed and implemented in the relational survey model. The “School Climate Questionnaire for University Students” and “Academic Motivation Scale” were used as the data collection tool in the research. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that the second and fourth graders of Necatibey Education Faculty academic motivation scores are higher than average and perceptions of school climates scores are high. There is a moderate and positive relationship between school climate and academic motivation, except of amotivation. Dependence and communication dimensions in the study were found to be predictive of academic motivation. Significant differences between the views of science and social field teachers in the survey on the school climate subscales and also in the dimension of lack of motivation can be attributed to the high KPSS score in teacher assignments when evaluated in terms of amotivation There is a significant difference in the perceptions of teacher candidates in favor of the fourth graders only on the commitment to the school by grade levels. In the study, when the desired results were found in the dimensions of school attachment and communication dimensions of school climate, it did not appear on the learning environment dimension.
