Özet
In this study, the aim is to investigate the gifted students, who are continuing to Manisa Science and Art Center’s ‘Getting Discover Individual Talents Program’ (GDITP), depending on students math attitudes, learning styles, students’ gender, the educational level of the parents and their parents’ monthly income. The sample of the study included the voluntary participation of 68 primary and secondary school students in GDITP program in the academic year 2012-2013. The research data is collected within “Abbreviated Mathematics Attitude Scale for Elementary' and 'Kolb Learning Style Scale’. In the analysis of the data, Mann-Whitney U analysis technique and Kruskal Wallis H Test is used for analysis of variance. As a result of the research on the analysis, a significant diversity in mathematics is found between students' learning styles and with total scores of Math attitude. A significant diversity is found between the educational levels of parents and students’ total scores of math attitudes. Among the total of students gender attitudes in mathematics scores; significant differences in the perceived level of mathematics achievement are found; significant differences in size of the interest towards mathematics courses are found, but no significant difference is found in the importance of mathematics in findings of data. According to students’ families’ monthly total income, there is no evidence of significant difference between attitudes in mathematics total scores.
