Müziğe yönelik ilgi ölçeği (MYİÖ)’nin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması

Abstract

Müzik, insan ve toplum ilişkileri ile biyolojik, psikolojik, sosyolojik ve kültürel ortaklıkları gibi birçok unsura dayanan derin ve köklü bir beraberliği taşımaktadır. Đnsanlar gelişen teknoloji ile günlük yaşantılarında eski dönemlere kıyasla söyleyerek, çalgı çalarak, müzik dinleyerek müziği daha da çok deneyimlemektedirler. Teknolojinin gelişimiyle müzikle yaşam alanının genişlemesi, insanların müziğe yönelik ilgilerini ölçülebilir psikolojik bir etken olarak yeniden anlamlandırmaktadır. Dolayısıyla müziğe yönelik ilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ile yeni araştırma sorularının doğması sağlanabilir. Bu araştırma, bir tutum olgusu olarak müziğe yönelik “ilgi” düzeyini belirlemek için bir ölçme aracı geliştirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. 53 maddeden oluşan ön deneme formunun uygulanmasından sonra açımlayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Bu analiz ile güvenilirliği düşüren ve gruplandırılmakta sorun görülen 24 madde ortaya konmuştur. Bu maddelerin ölçekten çıkarılmasıyla 29 maddeden oluşan bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. 29 maddelik ölçeğin Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) Testi sonucu 0,899 olarak, Cronbach’s Alpha (α) iç tutarlılık katsayısı ise 0,918 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Faktör analizi sonucunda, ölçekteki maddelerin 5 faktör altında toplandığı belirlenmiştir. Oluşturulan ölçek, müziğe yönelik ilgi düzeyini belirleyen ilk ölçme aracı olması açısından önemli sayılmaktadır.

Music occupies a prominent place in the community, and it is concerned with many factors such as the human and society relations interacted with biological, psychological, sociological and cultural dimensions. It is possible to claim that people have relatively more opportunities to be engaged in musical activities by singing, playing instruments, and listening to music thanks to the evolving technological developments compared to the past. Technological developments significantly contributed to the process of integrating music with the active phases of life, and as a consequence, the continued engagement with the music throughout the life span enabled to determine the individuals’ interests in music as a measurable psychological factor. Therefore, determining the level of interest in music can be extended to the formulation of new research questions. This study aims at developing an assessment instrument to determine the level of interest in music in terms of attitude dimensions. After the implementation of the draft form consisted 53 items, exploratory factor analysis was applied. The analysis results revealed that 24 items reduced the reliability, and constituted problems regarding the grouping process. After removing these questionable items from the scale, 29-item scale was developed. While the score of 29-item scale in The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test was 0,899, the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which was used to evaluate the internal consistency, was 0,918. The results of the factor analysis showed that the items in the scale were formed in five-factor structures. The scale is important in that it is the first attempt in developing an assessment instrument to determine the level of interest in music.
