Drama yönteminin 7.sınıf öğrencilerinin güneş sistemi ve ötesi: Uzay bilmecesi ünitesindeki başarılarına etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, “Güneş Sistemi ve Ötesi: Uzay Bilmecesi” ünitesinin geleneksel öğretim yöntemi ve drama yöntemi ile öğretimi yapılarak bu yöntemler karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmaya 2014-2015 öğretim yılında Balıkesir ilindeki bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 44 ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencisi katılmıştır. Çalışmada deneysel modellerden ön test, son test, kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Dünyamız ve Evren Başarı Testi ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları kullanılmıştır. Çalışma verilerinin analizlerine göre Dünyamız ve Evren Başarı Testi puanlarının deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklı olduğu bulunmuş ve drama yönteminin öğrenci başarısını artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca drama yöntemiyle öğrenim gören erkek öğrencilerin son test puanlarının kontrol grubundaki erkek öğrencilere göre anlamlı düzeyde arttığı belirlenmiştir.In this study, “Solar System and Beyond: Space Puzzle Unit” was instructed with traditional teaching and drama method. In the 2014-2015 academic year, 44 7th Grade students enrolled in a public school in Balıkesir participated in the study. Quasiexperimental research design with pre-test/post-test control group was used. As the data collection tools; Our World and Universe Conception test and semi-structured interview questions were used. According to the analysis, the students who were instructed with drama method scored significantly higher in the tests than control group students that received traditional teaching. In addition, as for gender, male students’ post tests scores of the drama group were significantly higher than the male students’ post tests scores in the control group.
