Özet

Looking over the studies made on science education, it will easily be noticed that almost all of them focus on which educational method affects the students' success positively according to conceptual education. Experimental activities are, important. High level of students' knowledge and skills which they acquire through experimental activities depends directly on how well prepared the students are on electrical concepts. In this research it has been investigated how ready the students are for electrical concepts and the impact of General Physics Labs II Course on the level of knowledge. Pretests and post tests were applied to the 82 first year students at Department of Science Education, Necatibey Education Faculty, Balikesir University in 2005-2006 Academic Year. Two-part measuring means composed of 12 abstract electrical concepts. Semi-constructed inter-views were made with 8 students and the data obtained were analyzed and discussed in the content of the objectives set in the study.
