Fen eğitimi konu alanında yayınlanmış makalelerin içerik analizi: fen bilimleri öğretimi dergisi örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Fen Eğitimi ve Araştırmaları Derneği (FEAD) bünyesinde yayınlanan TR Dizin tarafından taranan Fen Bilimleri Öğretimi Dergisi’nde (FBÖD) yer alan makalelerin belirlenen problemlere göre analiz edilmesidir. Fen Bilimleri Öğretimi Dergisi, 2013 yılının Haziran ayında yayın hayatına başlamıştır. Her yıl Haziran ve Aralık aylarında birer sayı yayınlanmaktadır. İlk yayın tarihinden bugüne kadar toplam 8 cilt, 16 sayıdan oluşan ve 81 makaleyi kapsayan bir arşive sahiptir. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde ise içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen veriler, dergide yer alan araştırmaların en çok nitel yöntemlerle gerçekleştirildiği göstermektedir. Makalelerin çoğu iki araştırmacı tarafından yazılmıştır. Makalelerde belirlenen örneklem grupları arasında öğretmen adayları ve ortaokul öğrencilerinin çoğunlukta olduğu belirlenmiştir. Veri toplama araçları kategorisinde testler en yüksek frekansa sahiptir. Bir öğretime yönelik yazılan makaleler değerlendirildiğinde deney tekniğinin en sık kullanıldığı ve makalelerin konu alanları incelendiğinde dergide en çok fizik en az kimya alanına yönelik makale yer aldığı görülmektedir. Dergide yayınlanan çalışmaların yoğunlaştığı konu ve alanları belirlemek için bu araştırma önemlidir. Elde edilen sonuçların, fen eğitimindeki eğilimlerin ve araştırmalardaki eksikliklerin görülmesi açısından alanyazına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

The aim of this study is, analyzing the according to the determined problems the articles published in the Journal of Science Teaching, which is scanned by TR Index, published within the Science Education and Research Association. The Journal of Science Teaching published its first issue in June 2013. In the ongoing process, a number was issued in June and December of each year. There are a total of 81 articles published in 16 issues up to the present. In the study, document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the examinations, it was determined that in the articles, qualitative research methods were the most used. The majority of the articles in the journal were written by 2 authors. It was determined that, made regarding the sample groups show that the candidate teachers and elementary students are determined as the sample the most. In the category of data collection tools, it was concluded that the highest percentage frequency value was tests. Analysis data shows that in the articles experiment technique were the most used and when the science articles are examined according to subject areas, the highest percentage frequency value is physics and chemistry is the lowest. The results obtained are important as they will contribute to the literature in terms of revealing the trends in science education and the deficiencies in research.
