Inspection of rebars in concrete blocks
Özet
Inspection of rebars in concrete blocks is most important issue for civil engineering applications, such as reinforcing the damaged buildings, bridges, power stations and nuclear plants. This study is concerned the research and development of a nondestructive rapid inspection technique for rebars in concrete blocks. The rebar is magnetized near to saturation by using a soft iron U-core and two magnetization coils. An inductive scanner is designed and tested to generate dimensionally accurate images of steel reinforcing components that embedded within reinforced and pre-stressed concrete for condition assessment and structural integrity monitoring. The system was locally magnetized by a U-core and then 500 turns search coil sensor with an iron core was used to capture flux leakage from surface of the concrete block at certain currents and magnetization frequencies.
