Küreselleşmeye karşı ulus devlet: Milli kimliğin geleceği üzerine bir değerlendirme

Abstract

Kimlik, sosyal bağlamda kişinin sahip olduğu kültüre bağlı olarak bir var oluş ve an-latım şeklinin en sade halidir. Kimlik oluşturma çabası ulus devletlerin ortaya çıkması ve milliyetçilik akımının yaygınlaşması ile birlikte en parlak dönemini yaşamaya başlamış ve milli kimlik kavramı doğmuştur. Milli kimlik ulusun ve ulus devletin kesişmesinin bir ürü-nü olup, temelinde daha çok ulusa ait dil, tarih, ortak bir vatan ve kültürün olduğu bir tanınma, farklılık ve aidiyet zeminidir. Milli kimlik sadece aidiyet zemini oluşturmakla kal-mamakta bunun yanı sıra her vatandaşın gündelik yaşamını düzene koyan siyasi amaçları ve idari uygulamaları da etkilemektedir. Dolayısıyla milleti kadim bir hedef çevresinde bir-leştirmek, milli duyguları harekete geçirmek ve kitleleri uyandırmak için diğer bir deyişle millete milli bir kimlik kazandırmak için milli semboller çok sık kullanılmış, bu kapsamda inşa stratejileri geliştirilmiştir. Diğer taraftan küreselleşme olgusunun değiştirmeye başla-dığı koşullar karşısında ulus devlet ve milli kimliğin akıbetinin ne olacağı tartışılan önem-li konulardan biri olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, milli kimliğin etkisini yitireceği haa ortadan kalkacağına yönelik düşüncelerin aksine, hayatımızın her alanına nüfuz etmiş olan milli kimliğin ve ulus devletin varlığını, belki yeniden yapılanarak ve yeni roller üstlenerek fakat her daim devam eireceği yönündeki düşünce desteklenecek ve açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır.

Identity in the social context, owned by the person depending on the culture, is the most simplest form of the expression and a person’s existence. Identity creation eort began to live its the most brillant period with the emergence of states and the spread of nationalist movement and the concept of national identity was born. National identity is the dierence and belonging ground that is the product of the nation state and nation intersection,more on the basis of, a common homeland and the culture of recognation. Nation identity doesn’t only create belonging ground, at the same time, aects every citizen’s daily life that regulates political targets and adminstrative practices. So in order to unite the nation in the light of autochthonous aims, to mobilise the national feelings and to awaken the masses or in order words to make people gain national identity; national symbols are used frequently and construction strategies are developed within the scope. Globalization phenomenon which begin to change conditions against, it is the most discussed important issues what will be the nation state and the fate of the national identity. In this study, contrary to the opinions, intended for national identity’s eect will be lost even be removed will be tried to explain and supported that the national identity’s and the nation state’s existence of penetrating in every area of our lives, maybe structured again and undertook new roles but always will keep going the direction of thought
