Özet

Polymer concrete, which has a composite structure composed of at least two materials, can be prepared with materials such as resin, filling, hardening and accelerating materials that support the matrix structure. The structure can be prepared in different compositions as desired. The flexural strength of a brittle structure is considerably significant and it is important to know the mechanical characteristics in terms of the design and potential impacts in the study. In this study, the flexural strength variations of PC specimens prepared by using various aggregate distributions, which were designed based on granulemetry curves of standard cement concrete, and binding ratios and the flexural strength variations of these PC specimens, as a result of their ossifications, were investigated at temperatures of 50 degrees C, 75 degrees C, 100 degrees C and at room temperature. Polyester resin and quartz were used as binding and filling materials. It was observed that ossification in warm atmosphere increases the flexural strength at certain temperatures and structures.
