Özet
Stability controls of I-beam(s) which have varied heights have to be conducted in order to have a design that possesses adequate rigidity, safety and cost effectiveness. In this study, buckling load parameter (P-B) of a beam with I cross-section with varying height, used as a roof beam in application, is calculated under service loads. The effects of the widths of the top and bottom flanges to the value of P-B of the I-beam are examined separately. Additionally, the effect of stiffener elements which are formed by increasing the thickness of the web of the beam at certain sections, to the P-B value is investigated. Obtained results gained through analyzing different I-beam spans are statistically commented via graphical representation.
