Hemşirelerin mesleki profesyonellikleri ve etik tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı çalışma

Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma hemşirelikte mesleki profesyonelliğin etik tutum ile ilişkisini belirlemek üzere planlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı, ilişki arayıcı tipte olan araştırma Google Form aracılığıyla sosyal medya platformlarında çevrim içi olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü hemşireler (n=211) oluşturmuştur. Veriler, birey tanıtım formu, Meslekte Profesyonel Tutum Envanteri, Hemşirelik Bakımında Etik Tutum Ölçeği ile toplandı. Veriler Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis testi, t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi testi ve Spearman korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların yaş ortalaması 34,27±8,26 yıl, meslek yılı ortalaması 11,62±8,61 yıl olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmaya katılanların %89,1’i kadın, %68,7’si lisans mezunu, %56,9’u geliri giderine denk, %71,1’i hemşireliği isteyerek seçmiş, %76,8’i servis hemşiresi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Araştırmada Meslekte Profesyonel Tutum Envanteri toplam puan ortalaması 141,18±12,67, Hemşirelik Bakımında Etik Tutum Ölçeği puan ortalaması 157,00±13,10 bulunmuştur. Araştırmada mesleğini isteyerek seçenlerin, Hemşirelik Bakımında Etik Tutum Ölçeği puan ortalaması yüksek, lisansüstü mezunların, hemşirelik mesleğini isteyerek seçenlerin, idari pozisyonda çalışanların, geliri giderden fazla olanların ise Meslekte Profesyonel Tutum Envanteri puan ortalamasının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yapılan korelasyon analizinde Meslekte Profesyonel Tutum Envanteri ile Hemşirelik Bakımında Etik Tutum Ölçeği arasında pozitif orta düzey ilişki saptanmıştır (r=0,58, p<0,01). Sonuç: Araştırmada mesleki profesyonellik ile etik tutumun pozitif olarak ilişkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Hemşirelikte profesyonelliğin dolayısıyla hemşirelik bakım kalitesini artırmak için hemşirelik mesleğinin tanınırlığının ve hemşirelik mesleğinin tercih edilirliğinin artırılması için çeşitli girişimlerin yapılması önerilir.Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between occupational professionalism and ethical attitude in nursing. Material and Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was conducted online on social media platforms via Google Forms. The sample of the study consisted of nurses (n=211) who volunteered to participate in the research. Data were collected using an individual introduction form, Professional Attitude Inventory, and Ethical Attitudes in Nursing Care Scale. Data were evaluated with Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis test, independent samples, one-way analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Results: The mean age of the participants was found to be 34.27±8.26 years and the mean years of occupation was 11.62±8.61 years. Of the participants in the study, 89.1% were female, 68.7% were undergraduate graduates, 56.9% had an income equivalent to their expenses, 71.1% chose nursing willingly, and 76.8% worked as ward nurses. In the study, the Inventory of Professional Attitude at Occupation overall mean score was found to be 141.18±12.67, and the Ethical Attitude Scale for Nursing Care mean score was found to be 157.00±13.10. In the study, it was determined that the mean score of the Ethical Attitude in Nursing Care Scale was high for those who chose their profession willingly, and the mean score of the Professional Attitude Inventory was high for postgraduate graduates, those who chose the nursing profession willingly, those who worked in administrative positions, and those whose income was higher than expenses. In the correlation analysis, a positive moderate correlation was found between the Inventory of Professional Attitude at Occupation and the Ethical Attitude Scale for Nursing Care (r=0.58, p<0.01). Conclusion: This study determined that there is a positive correlation between occupational professionalism and ethical attitude. It is recommended to take various initiatives to increase the recognition and preferability of the nursing profession to increase professionalism in nursing and thus improve the quality of nursing care.
