Yardımcı sağlık personellerinde yalnızlık düzeyinin bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yardımcı sağlık personellerinde yalnızlık düzeyinin bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Araştırmada 106 kadın (%44,2) ve 134 erkek (%55,8) olmak üzere toplam 240 katılımcı gönüllü olarak yer almıştır. Personellere yönelik sahip oldukları farklı birçok nitelik araştırma kapsamında değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Personellerin yalnızlık düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla 1978 yılında Russel, Peplau ve Ferguson taraflarınca geliştirilen ve 1989 yılında Demir’in Türkçeye uyarladığı yalnızlık ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler normal dağılım sergilediği için parametrik test yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Veri analizinde elde edilen bulgular p<0,05 düzeyinde anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Yardımcı sağlık personellerinin mobbinge maruz kalma durumlarına göre yalnızlık düzeyleri puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farkın olduğu saptanmıştır. Egzersiz yapmayan yardımcı sağlık personellerinin mobbinge maruz kalmaları sonucu yalnızlaştıkları tespit edilmiştir. Mobbinge maruz kalma durumu ile yalnızlık arasında çıkan istatistiksel ilişki sonucu anlamlı, pozitif yönde ancak düşük düzeyde bulgulanmıştır. Araştırmaya dâhil edilen diğer değişkenlere göre, yalnızlık durumunda istatistiksel olarak bir farklılığa rastlanılmamıştır. Sonuç olarak, mobbinge maruz kalan yardımcı sağlık personellerinin yalnızlaştığı, egzersiz yapmanın ise yalnızlık düzeyini düşürdüğü anlaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to examine loneliness levels in the auxiliary healthcare staff according to some variables. A total of 240 participants, 106 women (44,2%) and 134 men (55,8%), participated in the study voluntarily. Many different qualifications they have for the staff’s were evaluated within the scope of the research. The loneliness scale developed by Russel, Peplau and Ferguson in 1978 and adapted to Turkish by Demir in 1989 was used to determine the loneliness levels of the staff. Parametric test methods were applied since the collected data showed normal distribution. Findings obtained in data analysis were considered significant at the level of p<0,05. A statistically significant difference was found between the mean scores of loneliness levels according to the mobbing exposure of the auxiliary healthcare staff. It has been determined that unhealthy health staff who do not exercise are lonely due to mobbing. As a result of the statistical relationship between mobbing exposure and loneliness, it was found to be significant, positive but low. A statistically significant, positive but low correlation was observed between mobbing exposure and loneliness. According to the other variables included in the study, no statistical difference was found in case of loneliness. As a result, it was understood that the assistant healthcare staff who were exposed to mobbing became lonely and exercise decreased the level of loneliness.
