Alternative Tourism Potentail of Burhaniye in the Frame of Sustainable Tourism

Abstract

Rapidly growing tourism sector in the world are playing an important role in the development of countries and are developing quickly. Tourism as a sector changing and developing, sustain its development to offer a different and alternative product. Turkey are called attention to many alternative tourism types with coastal tourism is formed by sea-sand-sun trio in parallel are development in world. The demand tourism to our country show a steady development and its occured in areas are alternative tourism types that harmonizing with nature, spreading all year, adopting a sustainable tourism approach and providing a competitive advantage. From this point, Burhaniye that is rich and different tourism resources is determined alternative tourism potential protecting ecological balance, not damaging the environment and the tourism types that are sustainable competitiveness have been revealed. In this study, the proposals are presented that the alternative tourism types are development in Burhaniye with a sustainable tourism approach and country is take advantage of this development.
