Soyut sanat üzerinden temel tasarım eğitimi

Abstract

Within the scope of this study, the teaching-learning model based on learning through art is structured through Abstract Painting and experienced with the design studio built on the works of Piet Mondrian, one of the leading figures of abstract art. Thus, it is aimed to gain new perspectives on Basic Design education. With the experimental study carried out in this context, the students discussed and reinterpreted the determined artworks in terms of the use of design elements (line, shape, form) and design principles (hierarchy, rhythm, balance) in a unique threedimensional form. It has been seen that they give a new meaning. In general, the results obtained from this study showed that the teaching-learning model based on learning through abstract painting has an effective potential in Basic Design education.

Bu çalışma kapsamında sanat aracılığıyla öğrenmeye dayalı öğretme-öğrenme modeli, Soyut Resim üzerinden yapılandırılmış ve soyut sanatın öncü figürlerinden Piet Mondrian’ın eserleri üzerine kurgulanan tasarım stüdyosu ile deneyimlenerek Temel Tasarım eğitimine yeni bakış açıları kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda yapılan deneysel çalışma ile öğrencilerin belirlenen sanat eserlerini gerek tasarım elemanlarının (çizgi, şekil, form, vb.) gerek tasarım prensipleri (hiyerarşi, ritim, denge, vb.) kullanımları yönüyle ele aldıkları ve tekrar yorumlayarak daha önce görülmemiş üç boyutlu bir formda yeni bir anlam kazandırdıkları görülmüştür. Genel olarak bu çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar, soyut resim sanatı aracılığıyla öğrenmeye dayalı öğretme-öğrenme modelinin, Temel Tasarım eğitiminde etkili bir potansiyele sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.
