Gerçekçi matematik eğitimi (RME) destekli eğitimin ilköğretim 7.sınıf matematik öğretiminde öğrenci başarısına etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı İlköğretim yedinci sınıf matematik dersi kapsamındaki “Birinci Dereceden Bir Bilinmeyenli Denklemler ve Eşitsizlikler” ünitesinin RME destekli öğretim yapılarak öğrenci başarısına etkisini raştırmaktır. Çalışmada ön-son test, ön-son tutum kontrol gruplu desen uygulanmıştır. Çalışma 2005-2006 öğretim yılında yetmiş üç yedinci sınıf öğrencisi arasından deney ve kontrol grupları üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney grubuna RME destekli matematik öğretimi kullanılarak, kontrol grubuna ise geleneksel yöntem ile öğretim yapılmıştır. Öğretim sonunda iki gruba da son test-tutum uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ilişkisiz örneklem t testi ve ilişkili örneklem t testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda RME destekli matematik öğretiminin, geleneksel yöntemle yapılan öğretimden daha etkili olduğu ve öğrenci tutumlarını olumlu yönde geliştirdiği sonucuna varılmıştır.The aim of this study is to research the effect of the unit of “Equations and unequivalents with one unknown which are first degree” which is included in mathematics curriculum of the seventh grade on the student success using RME supported education. In this study the pre-post test, pre-post attitude with control group design were performed. The research was done on control and experiment groups consisting of seventy-three seventh grade students who were randomly identified in the year of 2005-2006. Traditional method was applied to control group while RME supported Mathematics education was applied to the experiment group. Post-test was applied the both groups at the end of teaching. Data obtained were analyzed using Independent Samples t-test and Paired Samples t-test. At the end of the study, the data put forward that teaching through RME supported education is more effective than traditional method and also it improves the students’ attitudes positively.
