Balıkesir’de şehirsel imaj: Şehirsel problemlerin tespitine yönelik bir araştırma

Abstract

Şehirsel imaj geçmişin algısının özel biçimidir. Şehirler insanların çok olduğu, çok sayıda öznel imaja sahip yerleşmelerdir. Şehre ait imajların iyi okunmasının şehirler açısından çok yönlü öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışmada şehirsel imaj, Balıkesir’de şehirsel problemlerin tespiti açısından analiz edilmektedir. İmaj çalışmaları tasarımsal şehir imajı ve değerlendirme şehir imajı gibi iki yaklaşımla ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmada değerlendirme şehir imajı kullanılmıştır. Veriler anket uygulaması ile elde edilmiş, SPSS programında betimsel istatistiki olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta görülmektedir ki Balıkesir şehrinin mahalle düzeyinde en beğenilen özelliği, ulaşım kolaylığıdır. Mahallelerin manzaralı olmaması beğenilmeyen özelliği olarak sıklıkla ifade edilmektedir. Şehrin en önemli problemi, çarşıda trafik park sorunu iken, küçük ve sakin oluşu şehrin en beğenilen özelliği olarak sıklıkla ifade edilmektedir.The urban image is special form of the perception of the past. With a lot of people, cities are settlements that have many subjective images. The reading of the image of city is of versatie importance regarding cities. In this study urban image is analyzed in terms of identification of urban problems of Balıkesir. City images are addressed with two approaches, being designative and appraisive urban image. In this study, appraisive aspect of urban image is used. Obtained by the application of survey, data are avaluated by using descriptive statistics in SPSS. In conclusion, the results show that the most popular feature of Balıkesir city in local level is ease of transportation. The lack of neighborhood scene is often expressed as a unpopular feature. The most important problem that city has is tarafic and parking problem. Being small and quiet is the most popular city feature.
