Morphological, anatomical and ecological studies on Hyacinthella lineata (Liliaceae)

Abstract

In this study, the morphological characteristics of the species of Hyacinthella lineata (Liliaceae), which is an endemic species for Turkey; and the anatomical characteristics of its root, scape and leaf have been examined. In the morphological observations, the biometric mesaurements of the plant parts have been carried out. In the root anatomy, the pith region is comprised of metaxylem elements and in the cortex layer crystal sands have been encountered. In the scape anotomy, scleranchyma cells cover a wide part of area. The leaves are hypoamphistomatic and mesophylles are isolateral. As for, ecological studies, it was observed that this species generally prefers the soils which are clayed-loam-textured, neutral in terms of pH, rich in nitrogen, adequate phosphorus and potassium, slightly saline or nonsaline and show varying amounts of organic matter.

Bu çalışmada Türkiye için endemik bir tür olan Hyacinthella lineata (Liliaceae) türünün morfolojik özellikleri ile, kök, skapa ve yaprağının anatomik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Morfolojik gözlemlerde bitki kısımlarının biometrik ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Kök anatomisinde öz bölgesi, metaksilem elemanlarından oluşmuş ve korteks tabakasında kum kristallerine rastlanmıştır. Skapa anatomisinde sklerenkima demetleri geniş bir yer kaplamaktadır. Yapraklar hipoamfistomatik ve mezofil izolateraldir. Ekolojik çalışmalarda ise, türün genellikle killi-tınlı tekstürlü, ph nötr, az kireçli, organik madde bakımından çeşitlilik gösteren, zengin azot içerikli, yeterli fosfor ve potasyumca zengin az tuzlu ya da tuzsuz toprakları tercih ettiği gözlenmiştir.
