Özet
Hereditary multiple exostoses (HME) is a skeletal dysplasia characterised by the presence of multiple benign osteocartilaginous masses. The incidence of HME is 1 in 50,000 individuals and the patients with this disease can be diagnosed early due to autosomal dominant inheritance. Proximal femur is seen affected in 30-90% of patients with HME. Severe joint pain and gait abnormalities can be present in these disorders affecting the daily life of patients. In this case report, we demonstrate total hip arthroplasty in a patient with a coxarthrosis and acetabular defect due to HME.
