Özet
Monte Carlo simulations of the backscattering probabilities, mean penetration depths and implantation profiles of positrons for elemental solids are reported as a function of atomic number 4 less than or equal to Z less than or equal to 82 and incident energies from 5 to 70 keV. It is demonstrated that backscattering probability and mean penetration depth values can be estimated reliably by using a simple Monte Carlo code for different incident energies and angles. The simulation results are in general in good agreement with other simulations and experiments.
