İbâziyye’nin Ehl-i Sünnet ve’l-Cemâat eleştirisi: Kalhâtî örneği

Abstract

İbâzî âlimlerden Kalhâtî el-Keşf ve’l-beyân adlı eserinde, birçoğu Ehl-i Sünnet çatısı altında kabul gören mezhepleri “Sıfâtiyye”, “Müşebbihe” ve “Haşviyye” gibi isimlendirmeler altında tasnif ederek onları hem itikadî hem de siyasî bağlamda tenkit etmektedir. Bu eleştirilerde sıfatlar, rü’yetullah ve imamet gibi temel meseleler ön plana çıkmakta; bu konular üzerinden söz konusu mezhepler teşbih, tecsîm ve rivayetleri kendi ideolojik kabulleri doğrultusunda tahrif etmekle suçlanmaktadır. Bu tenkitlerin Mu‘tezilî söylemlerle yer yer örtüştüğü görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda söz konusu isimlendirmeler, yalnızca Ehl-i Sünnet’i değil, aynı zamanda literalist eğilimleriyle öne çıkan ve kimi zaman Ehl-i Sünnet dışında kalan zümreleri de kapsayan daha geniş bir eleştiri zeminine işaret etmektedir. Bu açıdan Kalhâtî’nin kullandığı kavramlar, yalnızca teolojik bir değerlendirme değil, aynı zamanda mezhebî kimlik inşasına hizmet eden polemiksel bir dilin ürünüdür. Bu kavramların Ehl-i Sünnet’le birebir özdeşleştirilmesi mümkün olmasa da, Ehl-i Sünnet anlayışını da içine alan genelleyici eleştiri kategorileri oldukları anlaşılmaktadır. Kalhâtî’nin mezhepleri isimlendirme ve tasnif etme biçiminin çoğu zaman muğlaklık içerdiği; bu nedenle kullandığı kavramların kapsamı ile eleştirilerin hedef kitlesi arasında belirgin bir sınır bulunmadığı hususu da bu çalışmada altı çizilen hususlardandır. Bu makale, Kalhâtî örneğinde İbâzîliğin Ehl-i Sünnet’e yönelik eleştirilerini sistematik biçimde ortaya koyarken, bu eleştirilerin hem kelâmî hem de siyasî boyutlarına ışık tutmaktadır.

The Ibāḍī scholar al-Qalḥātī classifies the schools, many of which are accepted within the Ahl alSunnah, under terms such as "Sifatiyya," "Mushabbiha," and "Hashwiyya," criticizing them from both a theological and political perspective, in his work al-Kashf wa'l-Bayān. These criticisms highlight fundamental issues such as attributes, ru'yatullah, and imamate, accusing the schools in question of distorting the narratives, similitudes, and traditions based on these issues. These criticisms appear to overlap with Mu'tazilite discourses. In this context, these designations point to a broader ground of criticism encompassing not only the Ahl al-Sunnah but also groups characterized by their literalist tendencies, and sometimes those outside the Ahl alSunnah. In this respect, the concepts employed by alQalhātī are not merely theological assessments but also the product of a polemical language that serves the construction of sectarian identity. While it is impossible to identify these concepts directly with the Sunni school, they are understood to be generalizing categories of criticism that also encompass the Sunni understanding. This study also emphasizes that alQalhātī's naming and classification of sects often involves ambiguity, leading to a lack of clear boundaries between the scope of the concepts he employs and the target audience of his criticisms. This article systematically presents Ibāḍī criticisms of the Sunni school, using al-Qalhātī as an example, while illuminating both the theological and political dimensions of these criticisms.
