dc.description.abstractBu araştırma doğada kendiliğinden yetişen ve sağlık üzerine fonksiyonel etkileri olan kuşburnu meyvesinin Türkiye’de tüketim durumunu belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kartopu örneklem yöntemi ile Türkiye’nin bütün bölgelerinden katılımcılara ulaşılmış, toplam 434 kişi üzerinde araştırma yürütülmüştür. Veriler anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Kuşburnu tüketim sıklıkları, kuşburnu tüketim biçimleri, temin şekilleri katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine göre X2 testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. dc.description.abstractThis research was performed in order to determine the status of consumption in Turkey of the rosehip fruit, which grows naturally in nature and has functional effects on health. It was reached to participants from all the regions of Turkey, and the research was carried out on 434 individuals in total. The data was collected through a questionnaire form. The frequencies, manners of consumption of rosehip fruit, and manners of procurement of rosehip fruit were evaluated by the X2 test as per the demographic characteristics of the participants. It was determined that only 13.1% of the participants had never consumed rosehip fruit and that the majority of them are consuming it rarely and occasionally. The consumption frequency is higher among men and adults of middle age and older (p<0.05). It was determined that the rosehip fruit is being consumed the most in winter season and that its benefits for health, immune system strengthening, taste, and naturalness are among the main reasons for its preference. It was found out that 53.9% of the participants are consuming rosehip fruit tea, and 42.9% of them are consuming rosehip fruit marmalade. It was ascertained that the rosehip fruit marmalade is being consumed in the Black Sea and Central Anatolia Regions the most, and that the rosehip fruit tea is being consumed at the Black Sea Region the least. The ones obtaining the rosehip fruit consumed as tea by picking it from nature and the ones making the rosehip fruit marmalade at home are the ones who live in the villages the most (p<0.05).
