Oral lipoma: Case report

Abstract

Lipomas are benign mesencymal neoplasms. They are composed of mature adipocytes and generally surrounded by a thin fibrous capsule. They are generally found at trunck and neck but rarely occur in oral cavity. We present a case of a 48-year-old-man who presented a swelling of left cheek. After surgical removal of the lesion pathological finding was found an oral lipoma.

Lipomlar matür adipositlerden oluşan ince fibröz bir kapsül ile çevrili iyi huylu bir mezenkimal neoplazidir. Genellikle gövde ve boyunda yerleşimlidir ancak oral kavitede çok nadir görülür. Biz burada sol yanağında şişlik ile gelen 48 yaşındaki erkek hastayı sunduk. Lezyon cerrahi olarak çıkarıldıktan sonra patoloji sonucu oral lipom olarak tespit edildi.
