Karpat's book “The Gecekondu: Rural Migration and Urbanization” published in 1976, was translated by Abdülkerim Sönmez and published by Timaş Akademi in 2022 under the name “Gecekondu: Rural Migration and Urbanization in Turkey”. In this book, the gecekondu phenomenon is explained in the context of rural migration and urbanization. In this study, it is aimed to examine the main lines of the book. | |
