Özet
The "first crime" committed by the first human being and the "first punishment" given by God have constituted a model for the idea of the "primitive". Each crime committed and each punishment given afterwards have meant the repetition of the original first crime and first punishment. In this context, in Turkish mythology, the first crime brings about a descending, an exile, an imprisonment, a deprivation, and a "becoming mortal"; infinitely for Erlik and temporarily for Törüngey and Eje. In brief, for human beings, the divine dwelling-place where they were created, namely heaven, is thus turned into a "paradise lost" which humans will search for and try to regain.
