Lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi veren kurumların ders programlarının fonksiyonel açıdan incelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırmanın Temelleri: Lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi veren kurumların ders programlarının, ilk bakışta birbirinden farklı görünmesi bu çalışmanın esin kaynağını oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın Amacı: Lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi veren kurumların amacı, turizm işletmelerine yöneticiler yetiştirmektir. Bu çalışmada söz konusu amaç ile ders programları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Veri Kaynakları: Kısmen literatürden yararlanılmıştır. Büyük ölçüde ise üniversitelerden elde edilen bilgilerden yararlanılmıştır. Ana Tartışma: Söz konusu kurumların ders programlarının birbirinden önemli ölçüde farklı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu durum, kadro yapısı nedeniyle eğitimden taviz verildiği anlamına mı gelmektedir; yoksa aynı amaca farklı yollarla da ulaşılabileceği anlamına mı gelmektedir? Ana tartışma budur. Sonuçlar: Okullarda öğretim elemanlarının branşları ile girdikleri dersler genellikle birbiriyle uyumludur. Aynı zamanda okulların ders programları birbirinden önemli ölçüde farklıdır ve bu durum çalışmada istatistiksel olarak ta test edilmiştir. Fakat diğer bazı bulgulara baktığımızda diyebiliriz ki, bu durumun sebebi, kadro yapıları nedeniyle amaçlardan taviz verilmesi değildir. Görünen odur ki, lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitiminden maksimum yararın sağlanması, hangi derslerin verilmesi gerektiğiyle ilgili değildir. Daha ziyade, mevcut derslerin en iyi şekilde nasıl verilmesi gerektiğiyle ilgilidir

Foundation of Research: This study inspired by different appearences at first sight of the curriculums of the instutions rendering tourism education in the level gradution. Aim of the Research: The aim of the schools rendering tourism education in the level gradution is to educate managers for the tourism firms. In this study, the relation between the curriculums and the aim mentioned above has been inspected. Sources of Data: In this study, it has been partly benefited from the literature. But especially it has been benefited from the information obtained from the universities. Main Discussion: The curriculums of the mentioned instutions seem to be different from each other substantially. Does this situation mean that the concession is given from the aim of the education owing to the capacity of academic staff; or that it can be reached the same aim by means of more different ways from each other? That is the main point of this study. Results: Study fields of the academic staff at schools are in a harmony with the courses they instruct. At the same time, the curriculums of the schools are different from each other substantially and this situtation has been tested statistically in this study. But when we take a look at the other findings, we can say that the reason of this situation is not that the concession is given from the aims owing to the capacity of the academic staff. It seems that, the obtaining the maximum benefit from the tourism education in the level of gradution is not related to what courses should be instructed. Essentially, it is related to how the current courses should be instructed well
