Çocuklu ailelerin restoran seçimlerini etkileyen faktörler: İzmir’de bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, çocuklu ailelerin restoran seçimlerini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek ve bu faktörler üzerinde çocukların etkisini incelemek ve çocuklu ailelerin demografik özellikleri ile restoran seçimlerini etkileyen faktörler arasında bir farklılık olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini altı yaşın altında, en az bir çocuk sahibi olan aileler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, toplam 400 katılımcıdan yüz yüze anket uygulaması ve kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Veri analizinde frekans, yüzde, ortalama, faktör analizi, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis H testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, çocuklu ailelerin restoran seçimlerinde sırasıyla yemeklerin özellikleri, parasal değer, restoran özellikleri, çocuk dostu hizmet faktörlerinin etkili olduğu göstermektedir. Ayrıca çocuklu ailelerin restoran seçimlerini etkileyen faktörlerin, yaş, eğitim, meslek, gelir, restorana gitme sıklığı ve tercih edilen restoran türü açısından farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to identify factors which influence families with children when they select restaurants and also determinate whether there are differences between the characteristics of the families and factors that affect the families with children restaurant selection. The population of the study consists of families who have at least one child under the age of six. The research data is collected from 400 participants by face-to-face questionnaire using convenience sampling method. Questionnaires were used for collecting data and 400 person responded to the study. In addition, for data analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test were used. The findings of the research, it was showed that the characteristics of the meals, value for money, the characteristics of the restaurant and the child friendly services were important respectively in the restaurant selections of the families with children. And also it was determined that the factors affecting restaurant choices of the families with children differ in terms of age, education, occupation, income and preferred restaurant type.
