Türkiye’de startup yatırımları ve finansmanı

Abstract

Startuplar bir ekonominin gelişmesinde katma değeri yüksek ürün ve hizmetler üreterek kısa sürede etkin bir büyümenin sağlanmasında oldukça önemlidir. Bu bağlamda başarıya ulaşamamış birçok iş fikrinin önünde çeşitli engellerin olduğu görülmektedir. Startupların karşılaştığı bu engellerin başında ise finansman kaynaklarına erişim gelmektedir. Startupların nakit akışları, başlangıç aşamasında negatif olduğu için yatırımcılar açısından riskli yatırımlar olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu sebeple startupların geleneksel finansman yöntemlerini kullanarak kaynak sağlamaları oldukça güçtür. Dolayısıyla ekonominin gelişmesinde önemli bir yere sahip olan startuplarla ilgili yatırımların ve bu yatırımların finansman yöntemlerinin incelenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, Türkiye’deki startup yatırımlarının güncel durumu ve finansman yöntemlerinin yıllar itibariyle gelişimi analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda Türkiye’de startup yatırımları ve finansman yöntemleri ile ilgili olarak son yıllarda önemli gelişmelerin olduğu ancak henüz yeterli seviyelerde olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Startups are very important in the development of an economy and in providing effective growth in a short time by producing products and services with high added value. In this context, it is observed that there are various obstacles in front of many business ideas that have not been successful. Access to financial resources is at the forefront of these obstacles faced by startups. Since the cash flows of startups are negative at the beginning stage, they are considered as risky investments for investors. For this reason, it is very difficult for startups to obtain resources using traditional financing methods. Therefore, it is very important to examine the investments related to startups, which have an important place in the development of the economy, and the financing methods of these investments. In this context, in study, the current situation of startup investments in Turkey and the development of financing methods over the years have been analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it has been concluded that there have been significant developments in recent years regarding startup investments and financing methods in Turkey, but they are not yet at sufficient levels.
