Müphemlikle dolu Covid-19 pandemisini sorgulamak: Balıkesir ili örneği

Abstract

Toplumu etkileyerek gündemde yer alan COVID-19 virüsü ilk önce Çin’in Wuhan şehrinde daha sonra dünyada yayılarak küresel boyutta etkili olmuş ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (WHO) tarafından pandemi olarak ilan edilmiştir. Temas temelli yayılma hızına ve insan sağlığı üzerindeki etkisine bakıldığında genel çapta koruyucu önlemlerin arttırılması ve devletin toplum refahını sağlaması amacıyla bazı önlemler alınarak kısıtlamalar gündeme getirilmiş ‘yeni normal’ hayata geçiş sürecinde ‘#evdekal’ çağrıları ile toplumsallığın değişen boyutları ve görünümleri söz konusu olmuştur. Böylelikle sosyolojik olgular yeni bir forma bürünmüştür. Kentleşmenin toplumsal dinamiklerinden dolayı COVID-19 virüsünün yayılımı hız kazanmıştır. Bu bağlamda toplum sağlığı doğrudan kentleşme yaşamını etkilemiş; aile, eğitim, kırılgan gruplar gibi alanların tartışılmasını gündeme getirmiştir. Bu çalışma, COVID-19 pandemisinin kentleşme ve kentlileşme bağlamındaki etkilerini göstermek amacıyla sosyolojik perspektifle ele alınmıştır. Bu nedenle çalışmada kentsel yaşamın toplumsal izlekleri etrafında ailelerin pandemi sürecinde karşılaşmış oldukları sorunlar ele alınmıştır. Bu sorunların sosyolojik bir pencereden ele alınabilmesi amacıyla Balıkesir iline bağlı Altıeylül ve Karesi ilçelerinde ikamet eden sağlık çalışanları ve ailelerinin pandemiye bakış açıları sosyolojik olgular temelinde ve nitel yöntem temel alınarak irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır.

The COVID-19 virus, which is on the agenda by affecting the society, first spread in the city of Wuhan in China, then spread around the world and became effective on a global scale and was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). When we look at the rate of contact-based spread and its effect on human health, In order to increase protective measures in general and to ensure the welfare of the society, some measures have been taken and restrictions have been brought to the agenda. During the transition to the 'new normal' life, the changing dimensions of sociality came to the fore with the calls of '#evdekal'. Thus, sociological phenomena took on a new form. Due to the social dynamics of urbanization, the spread of the COVID-19 virus has accelerated. In this context, public health directly affected urbanization life; brought up the discussion of areas such as family, education and vulnerable groups. This study is discussed from a sociological perspective in order to show the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the context of town and urbanization. For this reason, in this study, the problems faced by families during the pandemic process around the social themes of urban life are discussed. In order to deal with these problems from a sociological perspective, the perspectives of health workers and their families residing in Altıeylül and Karesi districts of Balıkesir province were tried to be examined on the basis of sociological facts and on the basis of qualitative method
