Türkiye'de savunma sanayi sektörü ve ekonomi üzerindeki etkisinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Dünya genelinde gelişmiş ülkeler incelendiğinde, gelişmişlik düzeylerinin temelindeki faktörün sanayileşme olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu ülkelerin endüstriyel geçmişlerine bakıldığında ise savunma sanayinin bu ülkelerin gelişmişliğinde önemli bir etkisi olduğu görülmektedir. Türkiye’nin jeopolitik konumu yerli savunma sanayi kurulması ve geliştirilmesini gerektirmiştir. Son yıllarda devletin savunma sanayine yönelik yatırımları artış göstermiş ve özel sektöründebu alana çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, savunma sanayi kavramı, önemi ve özellikleri ele alındıktan sonra savunma sanayi sektörünün sanayileşme ve ekonomi üzerindeki etkileri ödemeler dengesi, dış borçlanma, istihdam, enflasyon, kaynak dağılımı gibi makroekonomik göstergeler açısından ele alınmış, Ar-ge ve teknolojik gelişmelerin önemine değinilmiş, Türk savunma sanayisinin tarihsel gelişiminin ardından Türkiye ekonomisine katkıları verilerle açıklanmıştır.

Considering that every research is starting out from a problem, it will be useful to start the When looking at developed countries around the world, it becomes evident that industrialization is a fundamental factor underlying their advancement. Examining the industrial history of these countries reveals that the defense industry plays a significant role in their development. Turkey's geopolitical position has necessitated the establishment and advancement of a domestic defense industry. In recent years, the government's investments in the defense industry have increased, and efforts have been made to attract private sector investments to this field. In this study, after discussing the concept, significance, and characteristics of the defense industry, the effects of the defense industry sector on industrialization and the economy are examined from the perspective of macroeconomic indicators such as balance of payments, external borrowing, employment, inflation, and resource allocation. The importance of R&D and technological advancements is emphasized, and following a historical overview of the Turkish Defense Industry's development, its positive contributions to the Turkish economy are explained using data.
