Bir kültürel miras değeri olan Antandros Antik Kenti’nin turizm potansiyeli

Abstract

Türkiye, kültürel mirasıyla turistleri ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel açıdan etkileyebilmektedir. Balıkesir’in Edremit ilçesinde bulunan Antandros Antik Kenti’nin eski uygarlıklara ev sahipliği yaptığı bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada Antandros Antik Kenti'nin turizm potansiyeli incelenmektedir. Çalışmada Antandros Antik Kenti’nin tarihi ve arkeolojik önemi vurgulamaktadır. Ayrıca bölgenin turizm açısından sunduğu fırsatlar değerlendirilmektedir. Öncelikle, Antandros Antik Kenti'nin tarihi ve kültürel zenginlikleri detaylı olarak ele alınmıştır. Antandros Antik Kenti’nin geçmişi, mimarisi ve buluntuları üzerinde durularak turizm potansiyeli incelenmektedir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden gözlem tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemle Antandros Antik Kenti'nin turizm potansiyelini belirlemek için durum analizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analiz neticesinde Roma Villası olarak da bilinen Yamaç Ev'in keşfiyle birlikte, bölgenin stratejik önemi ve geçmişte çeşitli medeniyetlere ev sahipliği yaptığı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca antik kentteki hamam kültürü ve diğer medeniyetlerden korunmak için yapılmış olan sur ve duvar kalıntılarına ek olarak; Antandros'un, Adramytteion ve Troya gibi diğer antik kentlerle olan ilişkileri de tespit edilmiştir. Bu amaçla antik kentin gelişimi için Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, üniversiteler ve özel sektör iş birliği yapmalı, teknoloji kullanımını desteklemelidir. Bu çalışmada elde edilen bulguların Antandros Antik Kenti'nin gelecekteki turizm stratejileri için önemli bir referans kaynağı olması hedeflenmektedir.

Türkiye could influence tourists economically, socially and environmentally with its cultural heritage. Tourists could affect the destination they visit economically, socially and environmentally with the increase in cultural tourism awareness. Turkey is a rich country in terms of cultural heritage value. It is known that the Antandros Ancient City located in Edremit district of Balıkesir hosted ancient civilizations. This study examines the tourism potential of the Antandros Ancient City. The study emphasizes the historical and archaeological importance of the Antandros Ancient City. In addition, the opportunities offered by the region in terms of tourism are evaluated. Firstly, the historical and cultural richness of the Antandros Ancient City is examined. The history, architecture and findings of the Antandros Ancient City are emphasized and its tourism potential is examined. In this study, the observation technique, one of the qualitative research methods, has been used. A situation analysis has been conducted to determine the tourism potential of the Antandros Ancient City with this method. As a result of the analysis, the strategic importance of the region and the fact that it hosted various civilizations in the past have been revealed with the discovery of the Terrace House, also known as the Roman Villa. In addition to the bath culture in the ancient city and the remains of ramparts and walls built to protect it from other civilizations; Antandros's relations with other ancient cities such as Adramytteion and Troy were also identified. For this purpose, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, universities and the private sector should cooperate and support the use of technology for the development of the ancient city. With the findings obtained in this study, it is aimed that the study will be an important reference source for the future tourism strategies of the Ancient City of Antandros.
