Van şehir tarihi araştırmalarına küçük bir edebî katkı: Fâik Reşâd’ın Kendirci Gazeli

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Fâik Reşâd (1851-1914) tarafından yazılan “Kendirci’den” redifli gazel üzerinde durulmuştur. Gazel, Van’da bulunan Kendirci adlı mesire alanını konu edinen ve bu yanıyla şehir şiirleri bağlamında değerlendirilebilecek bir metin olduğundan çalışmanın konusu olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışma vesilesiyle tarihî kaynaklarda hakkında bilgi bulunmayan, sadece ismen anılan ve günümüzde tamamen yok olmuş olan Kendirci mesire yerinin nasıl bir yer olduğu kısmen ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Şiir, 1882 yılında kısa bir süre burada maarif müdürü olarak görev yapan Reşâd’ın edebî hayatında Van’ın nasıl bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermesi bakımından dikkat çekicidir. Makalenin yakın zamana kadar mesire alanı olarak kullanılan Kendirci’nin tekrar bilinir hâle gelmesine ve Van şehir tarihi araştırmalarına katkı sunması beklenmektedir.

This article focuses on an ode with repeated voice from “Kendirci” written by Fâik Reşâd (1851-1914). Since the subject of this ode is a picnic area called Kendirci located in Van province and therefore qualified to be evaluated within the context of civic poems, this poem was selected as the subject of the article. Within the scope of this article, it was attempted to partially account for the description of the picnic area called Kendirci, which is only called by name, for which no information is found in historical resources, and which has completely destroyed today. The poem is significant in that it demonstrates the impact of Van in the literary life of Reşâd, who had served as an education director for a short period of time in 1882. This article is expected to contribute to make Kendirci, previously used as a picnic area, known again as well as contributing to historical researches on Van province.
