Meşru ya da memnu oryantalizm kuramı ekseninde Albert Camus gözünden doğu batı ikiliği

Abstract

Bu çalışma Batı’nın inşasında oryantalizmin yerini sunarken aynı zamanda roman yoluyla ötekileştirmenin nasıl sağlandığına da açıklık getirmeyi amaçlamıştır. Çalışmanın teorik çizgisini Edward Said’in Oryantalizm: Sömürgeciliğin Keşif Kolu adlı eserinden hareketle, Albert Camus’un Yabancı eserinin analizi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünü metodolojisi, ikinci ve üçüncü bölümünü kavramsal ve kuramsal çerçevesi, dördüncü bölümünü Yabancı eserinin betimsel analizi oluşturmaktadır. Nitel bir araştırma olan bu çalışma konuya uygunluk açısından, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılarak oluşturulmuştur.

This study aims to elucidate the role of orientalism in the construction of the West while also clarifying how othering is achieved through the novel. The theoretical framework of the study is based on Edward Said’s work "Orientalism: The Discovery Branch of Colonialism," with an analysis of Albert Camus’s novel "The Stranger." The first section of the study is dedicated to its methodology, the second and third sections to its conceptual and theoretical framework, and the fourth section to a descriptive analysis of "The Stranger." As a qualitative article, this study employs the descriptive analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, to ensure relevance to the subject matter.
