Tipografide deneysel tasarım süreci

Abstract

Deneysel tipografi çalışmaları öğrencileri özgürleştirici, yaratıcılıklarını tetikleyen, süreç odaklı projelerdir. Bu projelerden nasıl daha iyi faydalanılabileceğini anlamak ve tasarım eğitimde nasıl konumlandırılması gerektiğine dair öngörü edinmek adına deneysel tasarım süreçlerini çözümlemek önemlidir. Bu doğrultuda Grafik Tasarım Bölümü son sınıf öğrencileri ile bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Açık uçlu görüşme formu ve öğrenci günlükleri veri setini oluşturmuştur. Ayrıca iç örnekleme ile seçilmiş altı öğrenci çalışması rubrik form ile analiz edilmiştir. Görüşme formundan elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise tematik yöntemden faydalanılmıştır. Bulguların sunumu öğrenci yanıtlarından doğrudan alıntılarla desteklenmiştir.

Experimental typography studies are process-oriented projects that liberate students and trigger their creativity. It is important to analyze experimental design processes in order to understand how to better benefit from these projects and to gain insight into how they should be positioned in education. In this direction, a study was conducted with the senior students of the Graphic Design Department. Open-ended interview form and student diaries formed the data set. In addition, six student studies selected by internal sampling were analyzed with rubric form. The thematic method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the interview form. The presentation of the findings was supported by direct quotations from student responses.
