Volkanik tüf yüzeyi gözeneklerinin özeliklerinin birikinti geometrisi kullanarak incelenmesi

Abstract

Volkanik tüf yüzeylerinde oluşan birikintiler morfolojik açıdan benzersiz geometrik şekillere sahiptirler. Birikintilere ait yapısal özellikler, yüzeyde bulunan gözeneklerin geometrik yapısını ve sınırlarını belirler. Bu amaçla, doğal birikintileri bulunan volkanik tüf yüzeyi görüntüleri fotoğraf makinesi kullanılarak bilgisayar ortamına taşınmaktadır. Bu görüntüler farklı morfolojik yapılarına göre 8-bitli BMP resim formatına dönüştürülerek doğrusal olarak ölçeklendi. Gözenek yapılarının bazı morfolojik temel parametrelerini belirlemek için yüzeysel kaplama oranı, fraktal boyut değerleri ve çevre-alan ilişkisini belirleyen kritik üs değerleri hesaplanmaktadır. Bu çalışma klasik kayaç yüzeyi gözenekleri ve çatlakları belirlemede yararlı olabilir.

Deposits forming on the volcanic tuff surfaces depict morphologically unique geometric shapes. Structural characteristic of such deposits determine the geometric structure and perimeters of the surface pores. In view of that, volcanic tuff surface images which contain natural deposits are transferred into a computer by means of photos taken with a camera. Having converted into an 8-bit BMP format with respect to their morphological structure, those images are then subjected to a linear scaling. In attempt to determine the basic morphological parameters; the surface coating proportion, fractal dimension values and the critical exponent value which determine the perimeterarea correlation are calculated. This study may be useful in determining the pores and cracks found on the surface of classic rocks.
