Afyon Zonu Kuzeybatısındaki (Tava Dağı/Çavdarhisar/Kütahya) metamorfik kayaçların kinematik özellikleri

Abstract

İnceleme alanı, Türkiye’nin tektonik bölgelerinden biri olan Afyon Zonu içerisinde yer almaktadır. En altta, Triyas’dan daha eski ve farklı kökende çakıllar içeren Orta-Üst Triyas yaşlı meta-kırıntılılardan oluşan İkibaşlı Formasyonu yer almaktadır. İkibaşlı Formasyonu üste doğru uyumlu bir şekilde Jura yaşlı karbonatlı kayalardan oluşan Çiçeklikaya Formasyonu’na geçiş yapar. Her iki formasyon, Eosen döneminde bir nap (Muratdağı Melanjı) bindirmesine maruz kalmış ve sonuçta İkibaşlı Formasyonu’na ait kırıntılılar artan basınç ve sıcaklık koşullarında metamorfizma geçirmiştir. Afyon zonu kuzeyinde yer alan Tavşanlı zonunda ise daha fazla derinliklerde dolayısı ile daha fazla basınç/sıcaklık koşullarında mavi şist metamorfizması gerçekleşmiştir. Nap yerleşimi/bindirmesi esnasında metamorfizmaya uğrayan kayalarda farklı basınç ve sıcaklık koşullarında sünümlü bir şekilde ikincil yapılar gelişebilmektedir. Bu yapıların başlıcaları kıvrımlar, foliasyon düzlemleri, lineasyonlar, makaslama bandı klivajları, sigmoidal makro ve mikro çakıl ve porfiroklastlardır. Bu çalışmada, İkibaşlı Formasyonu içerisinde gelişen ikincil yapıların mostra ve mikro ölçekte tespiti/ölçümü ile nap hareketinin yönü ve zamanlaması ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Tüm veriler ışığında bu nap hareketinin Eosen döneminde Kuzeydoğu’ya doğru olduğu saptanmıştır.

The investigated area is located within the Afyon Zone, one of the tectonic units of Turkey. İkibaşlı Formation, consisting of Middle-Upper Triassic metaclastics containing gravels of different origins and older than the Triassic, forms the lowest section of the investigated area stratigraphicaly. İkibaşlı Formation passes upwards conformably to the Çiçeklikaya Formation, which consists of Jurassic carbonate rocks. Both formations were subjected to a nappe (Muratdağı Melange) emplacement during the Eocene period, and as a result, the clastics of the İkibaşlı Formation underwent metamorphism with increasing pressure and temperature conditions. In the Tavşanlı zone, located to the north of the Afyon zone, blueschist metamorphism occurred at greater depths and therefore under higher pressure/temperature conditions. In rocks that have undergone metamorphism during the nappe emplacement/thrust, ductile secondary structures can develop under different pressure and temperature conditions. Mainly secondary structures are folds, foliation planes, lineations, shear band cleavages, sigmoidal macro and micro gravels and porphyroclasts. In this study, the direction and timing of the nappe emplacement were tried to be revealed by the definition/measurement of secondary structures developed in the İkibaşlı Formation on mesoscopic and micro scale. And in the light of all the data, it was determined that this nappe movement was towards to the northeast during the Eocene period.
