Analysis of Relationship between Academic Success in Maths, Self-Sufficiency and Attitude to Maths Lesson

Özet
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between students' academic achievement,attitudes towards self-efficacy and self-efficacy perceptions in 4th grade mathematics and the effect ofperceptions and self-efficacy on mathematics achievement on academic achievement. In this research which is acorrelational study, data were collected by using achievement test, attitude scale towards mathematics course andmathematics self-efficacy scale. At the end of this research, Students’ attitudes and self-efficacy levels werefound to be high and academic achievement was moderate. It is concluded that there is a low level ofrelationship between the academic achievement levels and attitude levels of the students. Similarly, a low levelrelationship was found between the students' academic achievement levels and self-efficacy perception levels. Ahigh-level of meaningful relation is found between the level of students’ self-efficacy and attitude levels.Besides, it is revealed that the levels of students’ attitude and self-efficacy affects the academic success level.
