An Evaluation on the Miraclamas Performed Cem Ceremonies of Balikesir Chepnis in the Context of Ritual and Sacred Narrative Relation

dc.description.abstractCem ceremony, which form the basis of the Alevi-Bektashi culture is one of the foremost important traditional institutions, which reflects the relationship between the religious ceremony with folk poetry, narratives and music today. Poems and narratives of these rites continuing the presence vividly are considered to be sacred and performed only in the cem rituals. In this article poetry located in the cem ritual of Balikesir cepniler and called miraclama are discussed in the context of the relationship between ritual and sacred narrative. The data used in this study were obtained with observations and interview techniques used during field research in Balikesir Chepnis. In examination section were also investigated the text attributes of poetry as well as the context properties of Miraclama poetry. As a. result of the findings and assessments was observed that miraclamas are performed Balikesir Chepnis' cem ceremony convey a sacred narrative explaining the origin of cem ceremonies, semah and dolu. This narrative located in the basic resources of the Alevi-Bektashi culture such as the Buyruk is transferred by miraclama poetry of cem ceremony. miraclamas performed by kambees are sacred in terms of both content and execution environment. Married, moral and owner musahip ones can enter to he cem ceremony performed miraclama. Therefore, only adolescents and married people are able to listen to the sacred narrative and may be included in the dramatizations of this narrative. As a result miraclamas such as origin myths explain the formation of the cem ceremony, become a sacred rest for semah and dolu, also provide continuity sacredness of the cem ceremony with the perception of reality achieved on society.
