Determı̇nı̇zm ve ı̇ndetermı̇nı̇zm tartışmaları bağlamında yapay zekâ ve ı̇nsanın özgürlüğü

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı özgür iradenin insana ve yapay zekaya yüklediği anlamı ve özgür iradenin yapay zekâyla ilişkisini tespit etmektir. Ayrıca problemin açmazlarına yönelik daha kapsayıcı bir perspektif geliştirilebileceğini göstermektir. Yapay özgür iradeye geçmeden önce zekânın ve yapay zekânın tanımını ve tarihçesi incelendi. Daha sonra felsefenin en eski problemlerinden biri olan özgür irade probleminin mahiyeti hakkında bilgi verildi. Bunu yaparken hem çalışmanın sınırları çerçevesinde kalarak hem de teze katkı sağlaması açısından determinizm, bağdaşırcılık ve indeterminizm anlayışlarına yer verildi. Her bir anlayışın içindeki çözüm önerileri, determinizm ve indeterminizm tartışmaları bağlamında özgür irade problemine yönelik tutumlarına göre sınıflandırılmaktadırlar. Bununla birlikte bilim ve teknolojinin gelişmesine bağlı olarak yapay zekâ önemli bir çalışma alanı haline gelmiştir. Yapay zekâ, insan zihninin bilişsel yeteneklerinin özellikle özgür irade gibi insani yetisinin yapay bir sistemde oluşturulmasını hedeflemektedir. Bu hedeften hareketle çalışmanın asıl konusunu yapay zekâ özgür iradeye sahip olabilir mi? sorusu teşkil etti. Çalışmanın sonucunda yapay zekâ ve özgür irade hakkında genel bir kanaate vardıktan sonra yapay zekânın özgür iradeye sahip olduğu varsayılacaksa bile bunun en yakın yolunun indeterminizminin evrende yer açtığı olasılıklar ilkesiyle mümkün olabileceği sonucuna vardık.The aim of this study is to determine the meaning that free will attributes to human beings and artificial intelligence and the relationship between free will and artificial intelligence. It is also to show that a more inclusive perspective can be developed towards the dilemmas of the problem. Before moving on to artificial free will, the definition and history of intelligence and artificial intelligence are analysed. Then, the nature of the problem of free will, which is one of the oldest problems of philosophy, was explained. In doing so, the concepts of determinism, compatibilism and indeterminism were included both within the limits of the study and in order to contribute to the thesis. The solution proposals within each understanding are categorised according to their attitudes towards the problem of free will in the context of the discussions on determinism and indeterminism. However, artificial intelligence has become an important field of study due to the development of science and technology. Artificial intelligence aims to create the cognitive abilities of the human mind, especially the human ability such as free will, in an artificial system. Based on this goal, the main subject of the study was the question of whether artificial intelligence can have free will. As a result of the study, after reaching a general opinion about artificial intelligence and free will, we concluded that even if artificial intelligence is to be assumed to have free will, the closest way to do so is through the principle of probabilities that indeterminism makes room for in the universe.
