An Overview of Bloom's Digital Taxonomy

Abstract

Rapid developments in technology have affected the world of education as well as it is in every field of life. Bloom's taxonomy, which is widely used to write educational goals and achievements and to measure the cognitive steps taken by students, is also affected by this rapid change. First, the taxonomy is rearranged. Then digital skills and actions were added to the taxonomy in line with the needs and Bloom digital taxonomy emerged. In this study, it was tried to show what kind of digital interactions can be used to provide high level cognitive skills to the students in the educational environments where the education process of the trainers and the technology are integrated. In addition, it has been tried to show what actions students can take to measure their cognitive skills. In this context, we focused on the actions that could be done digitally according to the steps of the taxonomy and tried to give opinions to the trainers.

Teknolojide yaşanan hızlı gelişmeler hayatın her alanında olduğu gibi eğitim dünyasını da yakından etkilemiştir. Eğitim hedef ve kazanımların yazılması ve öğrencilerin edindiği bilişsel basamakların ölçülmesi açısından yaygın bir şekilde kullanılan Bloom taksonomisi de bu hızlı değişimden etkilenmiştir. Öncelikle yeniden düzenlenen taksonomi, ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda dijital beceri ve eylemleri de içeren bir sınıflandırmaya geçmiş ve sonuç olarak Bloom dijital taksonomisi ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu araştırmada, eğitimcilerin öğretim süreçleri ile teknolojinin entegre edildiği eğitim ortamlarında öğrencilerin üst düzey bilişsel beceriler kazandırmak için ne gibi dijital etkileşimlerden faydalanabilecekleri ve öğrencilerin kazandıkları bilişsel becerileri ölçmede hangi eylemleri yoklayabilecekleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda taksonominin basamaklarına göre dijital olarak yapılabilecek eylemlere odaklanılmış ve eğitimcilere fikir verilmeye çalışılmıştır.
