Mâtürîdîliğin teşekkülünde Muhammed El-Pezdevî’nin rolü ve mezhebe katkıları

Abstract

İlim dünyasına birçok fikir adamı yetiştirmiş olan Mâverâünnehir toprakları, İslam kültürü açısından önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu bölgede yetişen kelamcılar İmam-ı A'zâm Ebû Hanîfe 'nin din anlayışını, sistemli bir düşünce yapısına dönüştürmüşlerdir. Bölgede Ebû Hanîfe 'nin düşüncelerini sistemleştiren Ebû Mansûr el-Mâtürîdî aklı ön plana çıkaran din anlayışının gelişmesine katkı sağlamış, kendisinden sonra gelen ve kendilerini Hanefi-Mâtürîdî geleneğin temsilcileri olarak nitelendiren pek çok bilgin de bu din anlayışını benimsemiştir. Bu anlayışı benimseyip, İmam Mâtürîdî ve Mâtürîdîliğin gelişip-yayılmasını sağlayan bilginlerden birisi de Ebü’l-Yüsr Muhammed el-Pezdevî'dir. İlim çevreleri tarafından yeterince inceleme konusu edilmeyen Pezdevî’nin hayatı ve eserlerinin bilinmesi Mâtürîdîliğin teşekkül sürecini anlamak için oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın temel gayesi kelam geleneği içerisinde geri planda kalmış olan İmam Muhammed el-Pezdevî ve Mâtürîdî kelamına katkılarının incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma sonucunda Mâtürîdîliğin unutulmaya yüz tuttuğu bir dönemde Muhammed el-Pezdevî’nin yazdığı eserler, yetiştirdiği öğrenciler ve îfa ettiği kadılık görevi dolayısıyla halkın Mâtûrîdî ve Mâtürîdîliğe teveccühünü arttırarak mezhebin unutulmasını engellediği ve Mâtürîdîliğin yeniden inkişâfını sağladığı müşahede edilmiştir.

The region of Māwarāʾ al-Nahr, which has raised many intellectuals in the world of scholarship, holds a significant place in Islamic culture. The scholars who grew up in this region transformed the religious understanding of Imam A'zam Abū Hanīfa into a systematic intellectual structure. Abû Mansûr al-Māturīdī, who systematized Abū Hanīfa's thoughts in the region, contributed to the development of an understanding of religion that emphasized reason, and many scholars of the Hanafi-Māturīdī tradition after him adopted this understanding. Abū al-Yusr Muhammad al-Bazdawi was one of the scholars who adopted this understanding and played a role in the development and dissemination of Māturīdī thought. The study of al-Bazdawi’s life and works, which have received insufficient attention from scholarly circles, is highly important for comprehending the formation process of Māturīdīism. The main purpose of this study is to examine Imam Muhammad al-Bazdawi, who has remained in the background within the kalām tradition, and his contributions to Māturīdī theology. As a result of this study, it has been observed that at a time when Māturīdism was on the verge of being forgotten, Muhammad al-Bazdawi increased public interest in Imām Māturīdī and Māturīdī thought, thereby preventing the school from falling into oblivion and enabling its renewed flourishing by increasing the public's trust in Māturīdī and Māturīdism through the works he wrote, the students he trained, and the qāḍī duty he performed.
