Özet
This study was conducted by using hibernation trap bands at 16 olive (Olea europaea Linnaeus) orchards in five provinces located near Edremit Bay, western Turkey during the months of september-february of 2005-2007. The material, hibernating in hemp sacks covered five trees at each orchard, were collected and then determined in laboratuary
At the end of this study, 39 species belonging to 10 families of Heteroptera were determined. Among those six were zoophagous and 33 were phytophagous. The most abundant species were Lamprodema maura (Fabricius, 1803) (39,94%), Plinthisus longicollis Fieber, 1861 (22,90%) and Piesma maculatum (Laporte, 1833) (12,90%). Totally 21 species were recorded for the first time from Balıkesir province.
