Balıkesir ticaret ve zahire borsası (1925-1932)

Abstract

19. yüzyılın yarısında ziraat ve hayvansal gibi maddelerin hem alım satımının yapılması, hem de fiyatlarının belirlenmesi ve takibi gibi hususlarda sorunların çıkması, Osmanlı Devleti’nde birtakım düzenlemeleri beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu işlerin yürütülmesi için ortaya çıkan ticaret borsaları, Osmanlı Devleti’nde sınırlı sayıda kalmasına rağmen, yeni kurulan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile birlikte ekonominin gelişmesine el atılmış ve neredeyse her şehirde kurulmuştur. Cumhuriyet döneminde ticaret borsasının kurulduğu şehirlerden biri de Balıkesir’dir. Batı Anadolu’nun önemli ticaret şehirlerinden biri olan Balıkesir’de 1925’li yıllarda kurulan Ticaret ve Zahire Borsası ilk başta çok uzun ömürlü olamamış, 1932 yılında kapatılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Balıkesir Ticaret ve Zahire Borsası’nın faaliyetleri, borsa yöneticileri, borsanın denetim ve yaptırım faaliyetlerini nasıl gerçekleştirdiği ele alınmaya çalışılacaktır.

Since the half of the 19th century, problems in the purchase and sale of agricultural and animal products, determination of their prices and the followup of these products brought along some regulations in the Ottoman Empire. For this reason, although the emerging commercial exchanges remained in limited numbers in the Ottoman Empire, they developed with the newly established Republic of Turkey and a commercial exchange was established in almost every city. Balikesir is one of the cities where the commercial exchange was established in the Republican period. Established in 1925 Balikesir, one of the important commercial cities of Western Anatolia, the Commercial and Grain Exchange did not last very long at first and was closed in 1932. In this study, the activities of Balikesir Commercial and Grain Exchange, between the mentioned years, managers, how the exchange performs its audit and sanction activities will be tried to be discussed.
