Resim sanatında sarı renk örneği üzerinden rengin anlamlarına bakış

Abstract

Tarih öncesi çağlardan beri kullanıldığı bilinen sarı renk, günümüze dek sayısız sanat eserinde birçok farklı anlama gelecek şekilde kullanılmıştır. Ancak bu araştırmada sarı rengin anlamlarının neler olduğundan öte, anlam çeşitliliğini oluşturan unsurlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çeşitliliği vurgulamak amacıyla konu ile ilgili seçilen resim sanatından örnekler, özellikle sarı renk-eser ilişkisi açısından değerlendirilerek renk-anlam ilişkisinin sorgulanması sağlanmıştır. Betimsel yöntemin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada; sarı renk kullanımından hareketle seçilen eserler, bu eserlerin sanatçıları ve ait oldukları dönem hakkında literatür taraması yapılmış, elde edilen bilgiler ışığında sarı renge yüklenen anlamlardaki çeşitlilik öne çıkarılmış ve bu çeşitliliğin nedenleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, sarı renk örneğinden hareketle bir renge yüklenen anlamın; zaman zaman rengin kendisinden bağımsız olduğu, onu gören kişi, zaman, mekân, durum, kültür, koşul gibi birçok değişkene bağlı olarak değer kazandığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Throughout art history, artists have guided themselves by imagination, using their creativity to create new images. Artists have transcended creative boundaries, creating icons that would influence cinema in the aftermath through interactions with phonetic arts. While being influenced by the political, historical, and events of their time, artists have also been enlightened by developments in science and technology, shedding light on art movements and artists. Sigmund Freud's studies on psychoanalytic theories deeply influenced the Surrealist movement. One of the representatives of the Surrealist movement, René Magritte, has become a significant figure in art history with his works. Symbolically questioning philosophical thoughts such as existentialism and the uncanny in his paintings and objects, the artist significantly influences other branches of art as well. Directors bring Magritte's images to the silver screen, and this study discusses the reflections of Magritte's created figures and objects on cinema. The study is reinforced with examples from science fiction, horror, and fantasy films. In this study, references are made to films that influenced the artist and Magritte's incorporation of cinema into his images. For example, films such as Fantômas (Louis Feuillade, 1913) and Nibelungen (Fritz Lang, 1924) have served as references for Magritte's works. The aim of this study is to analyze examples that elevate Magritte's images, surrealism, and imagination. The scope of the study includes painting, cinema, and philosophy, with Magritte's images in cinema presented frame by frame. The impact of surrealism on visual arts is discussed. A literature review method is used in this study, and starting from philosophical ideas, the transformation of theories into concrete forms in the visual arts is examined with accompanying visuals. The relationship between different disciplines is analyzed. A comparative visual analysis method between cinema and paintings is adopted, and semiotic analysis methodology is utilized.
