Özet

One of the indicators which provide the development of a country is capital accumulation and technological innovation. Except for physical capital, human capital, in which human factor is important, is one of the factors that demonstrate the level of development of a country. Human capital shall ensure the effective and efficient use of physical capital. Human capital becomes more qualified with education. For this reason, in this study, the casuality correlation between GDP variables and tertiary schooling rates in education as one of the components of human capital was examined by using monthly data covering the period of 1982-2009 for the purpose of analyzing the effect of human capital in Turkey on economic growth.
