Ön lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin aile çatışması

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin meslek tercihinde ve eğitim sürecinde yaşadıkları aile çatışmalarının nedenlerinin ve kaynaklarının tespiti için, araştırmada, nitel veri toplama yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Harran Üniversitesi ön lisans programında turizm eğitimi alan 30 öğrenciyle yüz yüze görüşme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel amacı, ön lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin yaşadıkları aile çatışmalarına bağlı sorunların ve nedenlerinin belirlenmesidir. Turizm mesleğini tercih eden öğrenciler tarafından mesleği seçme nedenleri, öğrencilerin tercihlerinde etkili olan faktörlerin neler olduğu ve turizm eğitimi alan ön lisans öğrencilerinin sektöre yönelik aileleriyle yaşadıkları sorunlar ve bu sorunların nedenleri içerik analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Katılımcıların aile tutumlarının farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiş ve buna bağlı olarak farklı sorunların ortaya çıktığı görülmektedir. Turizm mesleğine yönelik yaşadıkları aile sorunları; fiziksel/duygusal şiddet ve iletişim çatışmaları olarak belirlenirken aileleriyle yaşadıkları sorunların nedenleri; aile içi ve aile dışı nedenler olarak kategorize edilmiştir.In this research, semi-structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative data collection methods, was used in order to determine the causes and sources of family conflicts experienced by students receiving tourism education in their career choice and education process. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with 30 students who received tourism education in the associate degree program of Harran University. The main purpose of the research is to determine the problems and causes of family conflicts experienced by students who receive tourism education at the associate degree level. The reasons for choosing the profession by the students who prefer the tourism profession, the factors that are effective in the preferences of the students, the problems that the associate degree students who receive tourism education experience with their families and the reasons for these problems are evaluated with content analysis. It has been determined that the family attitudes of the participants differ and it is seen that different problems arise accordingly. Family problems faced by the tourism profession; physical/emotional violence and communication conflicts; the reasons for the problems they experience with their families; categorized as intra-familial and extra-familial causes.
