Âşık Veysel’in şiirlerinde eskicil/arkaik sözcükler

Abstract

Türk dilinin ilk yazılı metinlerinden bugüne ulaşan çok sayıda sözcük vardır. Bu sözcüklerin bir kısmı günümüze hiçbir ses, şekil ve anlam değişikliğine uğramadan, bir kısmı da birtakım değişikliklerle ulaşmıştır. Eski Türkçenin söz varlığını oluşturan bu tür sözcükler için arkaik/eskicil terimleri kullanılır ki bunlara bugün yazı dilinde pek rastlanmaz. Ancak bazıları ağızlarda ilk şekil ve anlamıyla kullanılmaya devam eder. Büyük üstad Âşık Veysel de ağızlarda yaşayan bu tür eskicil sözcükleri şiirlerine taşımış ve yaşadığı yüzyılda okurlarıyla buluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmada, Âşık Veysel’in bütün şiirlerinin bir arada bulunduğu Doğan Kaya’nın “Âşık Veysel” adlı kitabı taranmış ve şiirlerindeki eskicil sözcükler, sözcüklerin yer aldığı örnek mısralarla ele alınmıştır. Çalışmaya dahil edilen bu sözcükler yapı ve anlam bakımından incelenmiştir.

There are many words that have survived from the first written texts of the Turkish language. Some of these words have survived to the present day without any change in sound, form and meaning, while others have survived with some changes. The terms archaic/ancient are used for such words that constitute the vocabulary of Old Turkish, which are rarely encountered in the written language today. However, some of them continue to be used in dialects in their original form and meaning. The great maestro Âşık Veysel has carried such archaic words into his poems and shared them with his readers and listeners in the century he lived in. In this study, Doğan Kaya's book "Âşık Veysel", which contains all of Âşık Veysel's poems together, was scanned and the obsolete words in his poems were analyzed with sample verses in which the words appear. These words included in the study were analyzed in terms of structure and meaning.
